This guide reveals all puzzle solutions, hidden item values, rogue-like events, and late-game secrets. Read at your own risk!
ποΈ Game Overview
You just sank $500,000 into an abandoned hoarder house. You have 12 weeks to sort through mountains of junk, repair the property, and hustle at weekend garage sales before the final real estate appraisal.
π The Weekly Cycle
- Mid-Week (Sorting): Navigate the rooms. Drag items into bins: Trash, Recycle, Donate, Sell Table, or Inventory (Keep).
- Weekend (Garage Sale): Haggle with neighborhood buyers to sell your items for maximum profit.
- Monday (Mail & Paper): Pay fees, collect recycling payouts, read the Weekly Paper for market forecasts and staging tips!
π The Final Appraisal (Week 12)
- Mess Penalty: Every piece of junk left on the floor costs -$100 (or -$50 with the Golden Trashcan).
- Staging: Valuable furniture left on the floor (Grandfather Clock, Oil Paintings, Wood Table, Gold Bars, Cash, The Holy Grail) counts as "Staging" and adds value!
- Room Placement Matters: The appraiser has randomized preferences each game. Read the Weekly Paper for Beatrice's tips on which items belong in which rooms for bonus value!
- Paint Bonus: Hoard 4 Gallons of Beige Paint → +$8,000 "Fresh Coat" bonus.
- Floor Repair: Hoard 3 Boxes of Hardwood Planks → +$12,000 structural bonus.
- Contractor Repairs: If the contractor visits, clear the target room. Leave a Wad of Cash as a tip for a premium repair worth +$10,000!
π° The Weekly Paper & Economy
- Market Demand: Each week, the paper announces a hot item category (Antiques, Electronics, Toys, Sporting Goods, or Weird Oddities). Matching items sell for double that weekend!
- Weather Forecast: Probability-based predictions for rain, cold snaps, and heat waves. Plan accordingly!
- Realtor's Tips: Beatrice Vance reveals the appraiser's room-specific staging preferences one at a time. These bonuses are randomized each playthrough!
- Recycling Streaks: Submit clean recycling (no contamination) for consecutive weeks. 3-week streak = $100 bonus. 5-week streak = $250 + permanent +5 Blue Bin capacity!
- Escalating Bag Prices: Contractor Bags start at $500 for 10, but the price increases by $250 each purchase (caps at $2,000). Budget wisely!
π¬ Mail, Thrift Store & Dumpster Diving
- Unopened Mail: Place it in your Keep Bin to open it. You might find Junk Mail or a discount coupon for the Supply Catalog!
- Thrift Store: If you accidentally sell or donate a recipe part, check the Thrift Store in the Supply Catalog — you can buy it back at a markup!
- Dumpster Diving: Accidentally trashed a recipe part? A Dumpster Dive button appears in the Catalog. You can rescue it, but you'll drag random garbage back with it!
π£οΈ Buyer Archetypes
- Cheapskates: Aggressively lowball. Very low patience. Love cheap items under $10.
- Snobs: Pay massive premiums for Antiques and high-value items. Refuse to buy trash.
- Parents: Average budgets. Easily lose patience. Gravitate toward toys and kids' items.

Place required ingredients into your Keep Bin simultaneously to assemble highly valuable items!
π‘ Automated Assembly: Don't want to waste Keep slots? If you leave complete recipe parts on the floor, Santa's Elves (Winter) or Uncle Bob (Fall) might assemble them for you during holiday events!

π΅οΈ Secrets & Garage Sale Events
1. The Midnight Heist
Selling a Roll of Duct Tape to your neighbor will trigger a midnight heist! They will throw a Suspicious Canvas Sack over your fence. When you try to end the week, the police will knock on your door. You can let them search immediately, or demand a warrant to buy yourself 1 week of time. Depending on where the bag is when the house is searched, there are many outcomes:
- Trash It: Evidence is incinerated at the dump! The neighbor tips you $500.
- Recycle It: A sanitation worker gets framed for the heist!
- Donate It: A local thrift store gets rich, and the case goes cold!
- Keep / Sell Bins: You get arrested and fined $500!
- Sell at the Garage Sale: Frame an innocent stranger, or sell it back to the neighbor and watch them get tackled by SWAT!
- Leave It in the Yard: Your house becomes an active Crime Scene. If the police gear is still there a week later, they solve the case and give you a $1,500 bounty. If you steal the gear, the case goes cold and the neighbor tips you $1,000!
- Walkie-Talkie Hack: If you keep a Walkie-Talkie or Radio Set in your inventory, you intercept the police dispatch and automatically get a 1-week head start!
2. How to Unlock the Secret Room
- Clear the Bedroom floor to reveal a loose tile.
- Drop the Box Cutter onto the floor to reveal a Wooden Hatch.
- Drop the Heavy Crowbar onto the floor to break the wood.
- Smash the Nice Vase to find the Strange Brass Key.
- Drop the Key onto the Bedroom floor to open the hatch!
3. Rogue-like Sale Interactions
- Food & Journals: The first few pieces of Food or Lore you sell will trigger unique events (like lawsuits, science grants, or getting robbed). After exhausting them, they sell normally!
- Identity Theft: Selling junk mail carries a random chance of having your SSN stolen, draining your bank accounts two weeks later. Alternatively, it might be a winning lottery ticket!
- The Men In Black: If you try to sell the Alien Abduction Detector, the buyer will hint at how to power it up. But if you try to sell the fully crafted Unstable Void Generator, the buyer will reveal they are a Man in Black! They will neuralyze you, confiscate the machine, and wipe your entire Keep bin!
4. Bribing the City
If you get a Roof Leak or Termite Inspection event, leave a Wad of Cash alone on the floor of the target room to bribe the inspector for a premium $10,000 bonus.
5. The Truth Is Out There (Secret Endings)
Crafting the Unstable Void Generator unlocks three distinct game-ending secrets depending on what you do with it!
- The Men In Black: Drop it into your Sell Bin and haggle with a customer! They will reveal themselves as an MIB agent, confiscate the tech, and wipe your memory!
- The Alien Ending: Place it on the grass in the Backyard, then CLICK IT to turn it on! A tractor beam will abduct your items, and you will learn the secrets of the universe!
- The Insurance Fraud Ending: Place it on the floor anywhere Indoors, then CLICK IT to turn it on! The dark matter implosion will completely vaporize the house, but you will receive a massive $500,000 "Act of God" insurance payout at the Final Appraisal!
